Calligraphy

I was first introduced to calligraphy when I needed a free elective to have the minimum course load to be considered a full time student in my final semester at Villanova and I wanted to do something different. Since I’m neither the most patient nor the most artistic person around I was a little worried that my fun class would bring down my GPA. I ended up loving (and acing) the class and began to use calligraphy as a way to unwind and de-stress. My work is far from perfect (I like to think of it in terms of the Japanese principle of wabi sabi) , but I wanted to share some of it on my website as encouragement for others to branch out and to not be afraid to enjoy something that isn’t necessarily one of their strengths. I also really LOVE finding new quotes! 🙂
